Albuquerque #8

Cousins in Albuquerque

After leaving Palo Duro we headed west to visit cousins in Albuquerque. They welcomed us into there home and fed us dinner. THANKYOU TERRY & KURT! The next day we took a girls trip to visit old town while Joe and Emily were at school. Old town is a historic section of Albuquerque that has not been remolded. On our way into the town we found a cute ice cream shop and got frozen bananas and a milkshake sooooo good! Just as we were finishing our bananas we saw a sign on a taco shop that said "Voted best tacos in Old Town" and there a lot of tacos shops in Old town!!! They were really good. Inside the shop there was a little room to take Christmas photos.

We also went to the zoo with our Aunt Terry while my mom and dad did some errands and bicycle maintenance.  My favorite part were the penguins.

Later that day when Jo got home we went to see the river of lights festival.
There were metal structures with lights wound around them shaped to look like animals.  There were so many different scenes including an under water scene, a rose garden canopy, and jungle animals.
We spent another night  in Albuquerque and then left that morning and headed to Flagstaff.
