Hot Springs, Arkansas #5
Hot Springs, Arkansas
After arriving in Arkansas, we headed to Hot Springs Village, where my moms collage roommate, Annie lives part time. She has a husband, Grover, and an 8th month old baby, Lucy. When we arrived late in the night, Lucy had already gone to bed, but we still had a great time catching up with Annie and Grover. We talked for a few minutes, but headed to bed pretty quick.
When we woke up the next morning, we got to meet Lucy, the cutest baby ever, while she was eating her morning bottle. We spent all the time we could with Lucy, Annie, and Grover, but Lucy had to take two two hour naps, Annie had to work, and Grover had to stay at home in case Lucy needed help. So we went into the Hot Springs National Park, which felt more like a town than a park, hoping to bathe in the natural waters, just to find that the bathhouses weren't open! We still had a great time. There was a little pool where you could feel the hot water, we stayed there for a while amazed by the natural phenomenon. Next, we headed to lunch in a Craft Brewery. Inside we found out that they had special doggy plates. Annalee and I went to get Ziggy from the camper so he could enjoy a incredible chicken breast. After lunch, we checked out some museums and went on a hike.
On the mini hike, it was only a mile or so long, we took the elevator up to a tall tower with our 'service dog' to see the wonderful views. The people working in the tower let our dog in even though we told them he wasn't a service dog. Ziggy was a little freaked out by the elevator, but when we got to the top the views from the top were stunning:

The next day, Annie showed us the house that she is renovating, it was beautiful! We showed her Charlene, we went back to the 'park' and bathed it the hot tubs. Sadly, no photos allowed in the bathhouses. Then we got this old-timey photo taken. Its pretty awesome!!!
